Function/feature and price were the key components when I search for a micro sound system. Here are my first impressions: Pro's:Price. For its size: Great sound quality, mainly due to the heavy body of the speakersI-pod adapterRemote controlIts compact sizeAnd yes, because it was a trusted brand name: Sony Con`s:It is not the most beautiful designi-pod adapter could be a bit more secure (against accidental knock-overs)For any other comments, its just to early to say Best Wishes. Well, that normally is very true, however, I think I got a little more that I paid. After comparing what was out there with similar features and studying some of the reviews associated, I ended up buying this Sony.
Forget the PSP for my kids, I'll get the four of them iPod touches instead. They refused to provide any information, including their assessment of the unit. Several weeks later I received the unit back COMPLETELY DESTROYED. Simply put, I got the complete blow off with no recourse. It stopped playing CD's and would contantly search for the disk.
It's not the money, it's the total lack of service and responsibility. After buying ten of thousands worth of Sony products, I think I'm done with Sony after this. They claimed they received it that way. Sony Warranty service of Laredo, TX said to send it in. Bought this unit new from Amazon about nine months ago. Got several e-mails including "received unit" and "received receipt" and "will be fixed under warranty".
No information was provided to prove that they received it damaged.
It is small and neat.It is 2009 I really think a CD player this size can at least resume playing instead of starting from the beginning of the same CD every time.
It was all well worth to spend the 25 dollars more because the sound is amazing and of great quality. Just purchased this a month ago, after a t storm blew my Memorex one. I needed a CD player to play my kids cd's since I don't want to put their music on my ipod.
I did my research, and for the price, what else can you ask. When the unit is off, it displays the time in white. It looks just as shown in the pictures. The remote control comes with a sleep button, which goes up to 90 minutes. I purchased this Sony shelf system for my studio apartment and it was just what I was looking for. Easy to install and use; 3 in 1: ipod, radio, and C.D, and at an affordable price. You can control the unit through its remote or by touching the buttons, which are located on top of the unit.
